The most valuable asset in society is a teacher. She is in charge of a child's early personality formation and character development. Teachers play a significant role in shaping a child's personality and assisting him or her in discovering who he or she is because they supervise the child for a significant portion of the day. A child is exposed to a school environment from the age of three to the age of 18 that, ideally, prepares him for a career that is destined for him. If he encounters a bad teacher on this journey, it will likely hurt his life, leading to anxiety and depression—the most taboo condition in society.
22.8 million children do not attend school in Pakistan. Even though our literacy rate is among the lowest in the world, how about those who are enrolled in school? Are we providing them with the education they need to succeed in today's world? Do we have a faculty that gives students hope for the future? Anyone can become a teacher in this nation! There is no authority to conduct background checks on these employees, who come from a variety of backgrounds, have skewed social morals, and only want to make a living without realizing how much they are responsible for.
We know that traditional teaching methods are being used on students because there is no certification for becoming a professional teacher in this country, even though the private sector claims to provide the highest quality education. The only requirement for a teacher is to have passed matric. This does not take into account a teacher's ability to properly lead a class or how to deal with the age group of students he or she is teaching. To prevent children from misbehaving, teachers at this school are trained to be strict. Nobody cares why the students behave in this way.
By directing students toward achieving their objectives, teachers play a crucial role in assisting students in becoming successful individuals; This includes giving them the right amount of direction at each stage of their lives so that they can become independent thinkers who can make well-informed decisions about their future without having to worry about making mistakes in the past that they or others in their environment may have made.
There have been numerous stories about bad teachers in the media. Teachers have been accused of being abusive, unprofessional, and even criminal in numerous instances. The fact of the matter is that these instances of teachers acting unethically have numerous causes. The fact that teachers are underpaid and underappreciated in our society is one of these causes; Concerning their work-life balance, they also lack a support network.
The training of teachers is still in its early stages. The current system of teacher training has many flaws and needs to be revamped. A new system would be more effective and efficient. The present system of teacher training does not have a standardized curriculum or a common set of objectives for all students. In addition, there is no uniformity between schools or subjects taught: each school has its own syllabus and teaching methods are not consistent across subjects. This leads to confusion among students and parents as well as poor results for students. Students do not know what they are learning in class so they cannot apply what they learn outside classroom settings; parents cannot assess whether their children are learning anything at all since there is no standardized test for all subjects or grades; teachers have little control over what is being taught, who teaches it, how it is taught, when it's taught, how long it lasts, etc…
However, there are a few things that teachers can do to make things better. Eliminating the stigma associated with being a bad teacher is one thing I believe can be done. This would make it more straightforward for schools to enlist great educators since they won't fear being named as bumbling because they were doled out a terrible understudy in class or because their understudies bombed a test or two. Instead of being judged on how well their students do in school or on tests, teachers should be praised for what they do.
Making sure that we are good teachers is the best way for us to ensure that our children have good teachers. We ought to know about what we can improve in our homerooms to assist our understudies with advancing more proficiently than before while likewise gaining from their mix-ups so they won't rehash them later on in their lives.
We can also make sure parents know what goes on inside the classroom so they can help their kids more during school hours, whether it's with homework help or after-school activities like sports teams or clubs like the band or choir that need to practice outside.
